College Prep Coach & Community Engagement Specialist

Position Summary

We are looking for a driven and passionate College Prep Coach & Community Engagement Specialist to join our growing team. This role is essential to empowering students to achieve their academic dreams while fostering meaningful relationships with families and the local community. The ideal candidate will split their time between one-on-one student coaching and driving business growth through strategic networking and outreach. What You’ll Do

1. Student Coaching (50%)  

• Conduct weekly Zoom sessions with high school students to ensure they meet their action-item goals and stay on track with their college prep plans.
• Provide ongoing motivation and support via text check-ins between sessions.
• Guide students through college applications, essays, and supplemental materials with clarity and empathy.
• Research and recommend tailored resources, programs, and strategies to meet each student’s unique needs.  

2. Community Engagement & Business Development (50%)

• Represent the company as an enthusiastic and knowledgeable advocate in the local community.
• Build meaningful relationships with families, schools, and community organizations to generate highly qualified leads.
• Attend local events to network and prospect for new opportunities.
• Drive growth through strategic outreach and lead conversion.  

3. Team Collaboration & Training

• Report on student progress during team meetings and implement feedback from leadership
• Participate in daily training sessions focused on networking, sales, and college prep strategies
• Engage with mentors and team leaders to continuously improve coaching techniques and professional skills

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Lead Generation: Meet and exceed targets for generating qualified leads from the local community
• Lead Conversion: Achieve a consistent conversion rate from leads to new clients
• Client Engagement: Ensure weekly progress on student action items and maintain regular communication with families
• Networking Activity: Attend a targeted number of community events per month
